Film Synopsis - Second Draft

John, 17, from a single parent background with a history of addiction problems, is mourning the death of his brother who drunk himself to death. With his Mother distraught and his friends unsupportive, he gets the motivation to sort his life out. He cleans up his house, gets a job, and returns to college, and tries hard to catch up with work. With all his spare time taken up, by work and home life, his friends get the mentality that he thinks he is better than them, and he left due to this. They start to bully him for his choices. he ignores it at first but the ‘bullying’ progresses quickly in to violence, with his Mother severely depressed still, John takes matters in to his own hands, he reports the attacks to the Police but they are too busy with the already crime stricken area. After the gang of his previous so called ‘friends’ learn of his visit to the Police they are extremely angered, and decide to resort to extreme violence to stop him talking to the Police again. They break in to his home, and trap his Mother in her room, John is then alerted by his Mother’s muffled screams and as he runs upstairs to see the trouble, then gets hit, and he tumbles straight back down the stairs. After groggily coming around, covered in blood, he is brutally attacked over and over and left for dead on the floor of his house. He then dies in hospital, and his friends are seen at his funeral, stood far away from the other visitors and then the film ends.
